Maidens Sands - Print

'Maidens Sands' depicts the isle of Ailsa Craig, a granite outcrop that is located off the Ayrshire coast on the south west of Scotland.
Interesting fact - Did you know curling stones are made from the quarried stone from this island.  

The original painting was created with a gouache underpainting with soft pastels layered on top. This is one of my favourite techiniques as it's the best of both worlds for me, paint and soft pastels. As well as the soft texture of the pastels you'll also find layers of paint and brushstrokes in this work.

Prints come with a mount and presented in a cello bags for protection. They are availble in standard sizes to fit off the shelf frames.
