If you don’t know already, here’s a little bit about yours truly….

I’m an artist based in Ayrshire on the west coast of Scotland. I studied Art & Design at college, but as with many people, life got in the way of my dreams of pursuing a creative career and I ended up with a series of ‘proper jobs’. My passion for all things creative has never wavered, but only picked up my brushes again in 2018.

The restrictions during Covid, while awful, gave me guiltfree time to pursue a pastime that I truly love.  During that period I made connections with some fabulous artists who have inspired and encouraged me to chase and fulfil my dream of showcasing and selling my art.

My practice takes inspiration from our characterful coastline and countryside. Throughout the year you’ll often find me seeking further creative ideas, while on adventures in my motorhome. Our Scottish scenery is always a draw and I enjoy nothing more than capturing a stunning sunset or dramatic seascape. 

Soft pastels are one of my favourite mediums and I love producing work that combines the smooth texture of pastels with gouache underpaintings. More recently I’ve been exploring the textures and qualities of acrylics and mixed media with the development of semi abstract works.
